Slick Magneto inspection, and repair. I do not overhaul slick magnetos. They are just too expensive to overhaul. The best thing to do is purchase new slicks. It will be cheaper that way.
Dynamic Propeller Balancing
Basic balance is $175.00 per propeller(small GA aircraft). If the propeller vibration is acceptable then there is only a charge of $100.00 for the setup and spectrum. Within one hour driving time from my home.
- Extra charge for removal of cowlings
- $25 per hour for travel. After the first hour travel
- For three or more propellers at the same airport the same day(in excess of the one hour limit but limited to 3 hours), the travel expense will be waved. For three or more propellers within the one hour limit, a $5 per propeller will apply.
Medium and large size aircraft is $250.00 per propeller.
Weight and Balance
Weighing the aircraft is $175.00. The Aircraft Equipment listing is the responsibility of the owner/operator. A hanger is needed along with any special jacks. We have ramps to roll the aircraft onto the scales. Extra charges apply as stated above.
Helicopter Track and Balance
Tail rotor balancing $175.00.
Main rotor smoothing $250.00.
A basic spectrum analysis is included for each rotor completed, which includes gear box vibration surveys and engine vibration surveys (if machine file is available). The owner/operator needs to supply any special weights and rotor smoothing manuals for the aircraft. If the vibration of the rotor system is acceptable, a $100.00 charge for the tail rotor and a $100.00 charge for the main rotor will be assessed for the setup and spectrum analysis. Extra charges apply as stated above.
If there is an unusual or unwanted vibration in the cabin we can help find out what the cause is with a cabin vibration survey. This is where a sensor is mounted in the cabin and a vibration spectrum is taken while in flight. This data is then compared to the engine spectrum to see if any excessive engine vibrations are transmitted to the airframe. Used for troubleshooting, it can help eliminate items thought to be causing vibrations. This is an hourly charge of $40.00 per hour. Travel charges apply for destinations over an hour drive.
We are also capable of performing the balance and vibration checks for the PT-6 MORE STC.
Magneto Inspection, Repair and Overhaul
There is a charge of $125.00 labor for inspections, and overhauls. This also includes basic return shipping. The inspections take just as long as an overhaul. Repairs are quoted after troubleshooting the magneto. Whatever the parts cost is what is billed for the parts.
The cost of inspections and repairs start around $275 and goes up from there.
The overhaul cost start around $450 and goes up from there.
Taxes and express shipping are added to the cost of the repairs or overhaul as necessary.
The costs all depend on the magneto and what it needs to be repaired correctly by the book.
